A heinous psycho killer starts committing a series of murders and challenges a super cop to solve the puzzle.
To begin with the positives, the casting of this film is pretty good. Nani looks terrific on screen and looks convincing in a role quite different to what he usually does. His dialogue delivery could’ve been better at places though. Sudheer Babu has brilliant screen presence and does his part well. Nivetha Thomas is okay in a character which has nothing much to do. Aditi Rao Hydari got a better role and she pulled it off well.
The songs are not that good, except the chartbuster ‘Manasu Maree’. Thaman’s background score is good. The cinematography of the film is good, the color grading could’ve been better. The action sequences are sleek, and the violence is quite impactful and unique at places.
V is supposed to be a thriller, but it hardly offers any thrills. The first half is decent and sets ground for an interesting second half. However, the second half is clichéd with shades of a routine revenge drama. Too many uninteresting subplots make it a tedious watch. The second half fails in almost every aspect, and has nothing exciting going on. The stakes are pretty low for the most part, and the film falls flat sooner than you expect.
V The Movie offers nothing you haven’t seen before.
A cliché revenge drama which tries to be many things but nothing works except the fights. Nani & Sudheer Babu did their parts well.
Director failed to hold the interest & fails big time.
